Executive Roundtable Accepting Applications The Chamber is beginning to organize the ninth Executive Roundtable program for the fall of 2008. This program serves as a forum in which chief executives can share information with and receive advice from other business leaders who are facing the same kinds of problems and issues. The Executive Roundtable is a unique opportunity for area business executives to meet with peers in a confidential and relaxed atmosphere. Fireworks Fundraiser Underway As summer nears, the 4th of July celebration plans are well underway. The Coeur d'Alene Chamber is organizing the wonderful community fireworks display once again this year and needs your help! The fireworks are funded completely by the generous donations from community businesses, organizations, and individuals and each year continues to be a huge success. All donors will be recognized by name in the Coeur d'Alene Press. Our fundraising goal is $30,000 this year and any business, organization or individual who donates $500 or more will be featured in the Coeur d'Alene Press with a picture. New this year, with a $500 donation, you will receive four tickets to the Chamber's VIP Fireworks viewing party at the beautiful Chamber building. Please consider this opportunity to contribute to a wonderful tradition! We appreciate the past support and look forward to another wonderful community event in Coeur d'Alene! Fourth of July Parade Applications Available!
Summer is just around the corner and the Chamber is gearing up for the Fourth of July Parade! This family event is a tradition in Coeur d'Alene and thousands of people will be in attendance. Parade applications are available at the Chamber. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the parade, the Chamber will be limiting the parade to 80 entries. Applications will be accepted through June 13th and juried based on criteria established to form the most enjoyable parade for the community. Downtown Farmers Market Every Wednesday The Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association is pleased to announce the kickoff of the Downtown Farmers Market event. From now until the end of September, the Downtown Farmers Market will be open every Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and is located on 5th and Sherman. Upbeat Breakfast - June 10th Join us on June 10th for Upbeat Breakfast, presented by the Natural Resources Committee. The breakfast will feature speakers Phil Cernera, Coeur d'Alene Tribe and Glen Rothrock, Department of Environmental Quality, speaking on Protecting our Lake Quality. Thank you to Shelter Associates for sponsoring this breakfast. Car d'Lane to Cruise Downtown June 13th and 14th Every June for the past eighteen years the North Idaho Classic Car Club and the Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association have organized Car d'Lane -- a weekend event that pays tribute to the region's love of classic cars. Car d'Lane has become a show of National recognition and is set in our beautiful Downtown on Sherman and Lakeside Avenues. The "Best Cruise in the Northwest" will roll along the streets on Friday, June 13th from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. The streets fill with classic cars as the Show & Shine takes over on Saturday, June 14th from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. And, to finish the fun, dance under the stars right on Sherman Ave. with the Street Dance on Saturday from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. A great family event! Ford Ironman Coeur d'Alene - June 22nd Coeur d'Alene is excited to have Ironman back this year and the event planning is well underway. Each year, Coeur d'Alene has been applauded for its generous community and the 3,000 + volunteers that make the race one of the most successful in the nation.
