3rd Annual Hard Hats, Hammers, and Hot Dogs
is OVER!

The 3rd Annual Hard Hat, Hammers, and Hot
Dogs was another huge success!
The Workforce Development Task Force is hosting their 3rd annual Manufacturing and Construction Career Day – Hard Hats, Hammers, and Hot Dogs - for the area middle and high schools at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur d’Alene on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010.
The manufacturing and construction industries will be facing
a severe shortage of skilled workers, and if not addressed,
the shortage will increase. This will affect the quality,
safety, and overall ability of these industries to compete
in building the infrastructure needed by an ever-growing
population. Our goal is to make young
people aware of the tremendous opportunities ranging
from entry level apprenticeship and hi-tech positions to
professional opportunities that exist.
We are asking for your involvement.
We are requesting you participate as an exhibitor and/or
help sponsor the event. As an exhibitor, we are asking you
to please provide information and/or products and tools to
educate that will excite and spark the student’s interest in
the field of manufacturing or construction. A hands-on
activity of some sort is recommended. The organizing
committee will help to provide such things as:

• Security of equipment brought in the night before
• Promotional advertisements
• Display table(s) and chair(s)
• Lunch
Please click here
to download the registration form and return it by March
26th, 2010. If you have any questions or special needs,
please call Vicki Isakson (208)769-1558 x3917 or Toni Sayler
(208) 415-0112. A confirmation letter will be sent to you
along with information about set-up and the program agenda.
We thank you for your participation, and we look forward to
seeing you on April 7, 2010.
