Committee Overview
The Chamber maintains a number of standing committees to
carry out its mission. It is these committees and
their members who do the real work of our organization.
Members are encouraged to join these Committees to help
shape the Chamber's directions and activities. To do
so, click on the Committee names below for detailed
information.
The Business Development Committee develops programs that create a positive business climate for
the Coeur d'Alene community.
The Commodores promote Coeur d'Alene
by producing the Aw$um Auction, Chamber Banquet, Coeur
d'Alene Float, Jr. Miss Program, by attending grand
openings, and ribbon cutting ceremonies.
The CVB implements a $400,000 annual marketing program
with a goal of bringing more visitors to the Coeur d'Alene
Area, encouraging repeat visits by those who have been here,
and promoting longer stays of all
visitors.
The Education Committee works as a link between
businesses and the education community to ensure a well
trained workforce is available through quality education in
the Coeur d'Alene area.
Leadership Coeur d'Alene operates an annual training
program which introduces area citizens to the issues and
institutions that guide our community.
Membership Outreach works to ensure good communications
with all our members through new member orientations, membership
retention programs and critiques of membership
communications.
The Natural Resources Committee organizes a variety of
programs that broadly support the sustainable use and enjoyment of our abundant
natural resources in a manner that safeguards and enhances
our environment over the long term.
The Public Policy Committee analyzes local, state, and federal legislative issues,
makes recommendations to the Chamber's Board of Directors on
specific positions the Chamber should adopt, and then
advocates for those positions.
