Coeur d'Alene is located on I-90 and US Highway 95, and is easily accessed by travelers and residents. The city is just 32 miles east of Spokane, Washington. The Coeur d'Alene Airport (COE) is one of the most active and dynamic General Aviation Airports in the West.  The location, essentially in the middle of rapidly growing Kootenai County along with excellent facilities, clear approaches, and ample space (approximately 1,200 acres) make it the airport of choice for most of the flying public that do not have to travel by commercial carrier.  It is the home to over 135 corporate and private aircraft and provides access for aviation education, emergency medical transport and is the home base for the U.S. Forest Service Fire-Fighter Bomber. COE offers a full ILS approach and has an on-site weather observation system, which provides up-to-the-minute weather reports. Bus Transportation

Bus transportation is available through North Idaho Community Express  (NICE), which offers door-to-door bus service around

North Idaho, as well as OmniBus Shuttle Tour & Charter and Payless Airport Shuttle.

In addition this past year CityLink was created to provide free bus transportation through-out Kootenai County offering 23 stops. CityLink represents the first time in the United States that a tribal government and a local government have collaborated to create free public transportation.
